The Lean Manufacturing of Information – Exposing the Hidden
Factory was written by Andrew Kiolbasa, a technology visionary and
founder of LeanHome Solutions. With over 20 years business
experience, including five years at the executive level with the global
engineering and manufacturing company ITT Industries, Mr. Kiolbasa
delivers a comprehensive Lean IT perspective from the vantage point
of an experienced practitioner and not that of an academic.
Prior to founding LeanHome Solutions, Mr. Kiolbasa was the Chief
Operating Officer at 312, Inc. a high risk software technology start-up
company located at University of Central Florida Technology Incubator.
At ITT, Mr. Kiolbasa served as Chief Technologist and Director of
Enterprise Infrastructure for ITT’s Fluid Technology and Motion Flow
Control Management Companies, directing infrastructure R&D and
network operations for 270 manufacturing & sales facilities in 25
countries. During his 13 year tenure with ITT Industries, Mr. Kiolbasa
acquired extensive knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
methodologies and implementation. Prior to ITT, Mr. Kiolbasa was with
Playboy Enterprises for 5 years as a Senior Accountant in Corporate
Administration and 2 years in accounting and marketing with Omega
Microware, a software development company.
